CSOR Student Concert IX
Here at the Chico School of Rock we strive to provide our students with real life musical experiences, and so we don’t do “recitals”, we hold real Rock Concerts! With lasers, fog and screaming fans, these shows are the real deal, and guess what: YOU are the STAR! All students are welcome (but never forced) to play these shows, and all children are welcome to sign up here at the school to get on the schedule for the next concert (see our events page). Thanks to the Chico Boys and Girls Club, all the parents for their support, and all the wonderful volunteers (you know who you are!). And especially, thank you to all of our amazing students for being brave and going for it! ROCK ON! The following was out 9th student rock show, held at the Chico Boys and Girls club on Saturday September 12th, 2009. We had over 50 kids, and 5 bands…you could be next!

Grand Opening
Wow, what a cool party! Our Grand Opening and ribbon cutting was a smash, thanks to the Chico Chamber, Hungry Hippy Hot Dogs, Candi for the ribbon “smashing”, and all the amazing kids who jammed out the whole time, and all of our sponsors who pitched in (A & J Party Supply, Chico News and Review, Digital Gravy Design, Music Connection, Dragon Graphics) …Rock on!

Our Facility
Here at the Chico School of Rock, it is very important to us to make the entire “music lesson experience” enjoyable, comfortable and professional. So we’ve put a lot of love into our facility, and our quite proud of it. Each instructor has their own fully equipped and air conditioned teaching studio, with everything needed to provide a high quality music lesson. From our own Curriculum Wall Charts to the student binders, to state of the art electronic drums and every instrument in modern music, to our spacious and comfortable waiting room (complete with free WIFI and reading materials), we want to be the BEST! We want happy kids, satisfied and impressed parents, and a good time for all…

CSOR Student Concerts
The Chico School of Rock student concerts are growing wildly, and the Concert VIII on April 25th at the Chico Boys and Girls Club drew over 150, with seven bands and 40 soloists! These youth concerts are real rock shows, with light show, fog machine and full concert volume, giving students a chance to experience the thrill of being onstage in front of their friends and family. All students are welcome to play, from beginners (who play with their instructor on stage) to advanced kids (who can bring their own band), although students are never forced to play. In it’s 5th year of shows, the Chico School of Rock has now produced nine successful concerts, with it’s Concert IX coming up on October 17m 2009.
